Talked to my old boss from the print shop about job hopping
He said he hired a guy last month who had 4 jobs in 3 years, and he saw it as a sign the guy knew how to learn fast and adapt. That flipped my whole view on short stints at companies. Do you think that's becoming more common now?

Honestly that's a really smart way to look at it. I used to see short jobs as a huge red flag too, but hearing that from a boss changes things. It makes sense that someone moving around could just be picking up skills fast, like @shanes66 mentioned bosses can have their own weird fixations. Tbh the whole job market feels different now and maybe bosses are finally catching up. That old idea of staying put for ten years just seems kinda dead.

My last boss said the exact same thing about my resume.

My uncle in Phoenix had a boss who kept saying his cover letters were too long. He finally made one that was just three sentences and got the job. Sometimes I wonder if bosses just pick one thing to say to everyone. It feels like a weird power move more than real advice. Makes you question if they even read the thing properly.
