Wasted $400 on a fake certification course last spring

Found this "project management pro" course online, looked legit. Turned out to be a bunch of outdated slides and no real accreditation. Anybody else get burned by one of these?

Wait, is getting scammed out of $400 really that big of a deal though? I mean, yeah it sucks, but you probably learned something from the experience and at least now you know what to look for.

Check the accreditation body first before you buy anything. @kimblack probably hasn't been burned before, but trust me, $400 stings enough to make you learn the hard way. Next time look for BBB listings and actual student reviews on sites like Reddit.

$400 is nothing. Try wasting $2,000 on a "certified life coach" program that turned out to be a guy reading from a self help book he bought on Amazon. Course scams have been around since the internet started, you gotta do your homework before you hand over cash. The real kicker is that a lot of these unaccredited courses still teach you something useful even if the certificate is worthless.
