Had to pick between dado blades and a router for cabinet shelves

I was building out a set of kitchen cabinets in Phoenix a few months back. Needed to cut dadoes for the shelves and had to decide between my old dado stack or using a router with a jig. Went with the router because it was quieter and less setup time. Cut was clean but took way longer than I thought. Anyone else switch to routers for dados and regret it or stick with it?

Beat the router setup time by making a couple of dedicated jigs beforehand, not sure if you tried that. Was the cleanness worth the extra time for you, or did you end up having to sand the dado edges anyway? I swapped back to my dado stack for the last batch because the router just felt like dragging for me.

Two jigs still left an edge i had to sand later.

Wait, you might be mixing up the jig setup with the actual router bit sharpness there.
