Lumber yard keeps sending warped two-by-fours

It wastes my day straightening them out. How do you check wood before it leaves the yard?

Lay each two-by-four on a flat surface and sight down the length... any curve will be obvious. Reject boards that don't sit flat without rocking. It's a quick check that saves hours later.

Actually, sighting down the board won't catch a TWIST. You gotta check for that separate by looking at both ends.

You say to reject boards that rock, but what if the floor itself isn't flat? Doesn't that throw off your whole check?

Couldn't the yard just check the whole stack for obvious bends before loading?
