My $80 Japanese pull saw was a game changer for trim work
I bought it for a tricky mitered corner and the clean, thin kerf made everything fit perfectly on the first try. Anyone have a favorite brand for flush-cutting saws?

Yeah, I'm totally with you on that. I mean, I used a cheap saw for years and thought it was fine until I tried a decent one. The difference in how it tracks and how little force you need is honestly huge. Maybe it's just me but a good tool just makes the whole job feel less like a fight.

Oh man, a steady hand can't fix a blade that wobbles. That's the whole point of a better saw.

An $80 saw just for trim seems like overkill. My basic hardware store saw has handled every miter cut just fine. A steady hand matters more than a fancy brand name for getting a clean fit. Spending that much on a single tool feels like a solution looking for a problem.
