My miter saw stand collapsed mid-cut on a deck job

Honestly, the whole thing just folded in half when I was ripping a 2x10. I had to finish the day with the saw on a stack of scrap wood. Anyone got a stand they swear by that won't do this?

My DeWalt stand's been solid for years.

Read somewhere that the older DeWalt stands had better steel in the legs.

My buddy's saw stand gave out halfway through a deck project. He had to finish the cuts on a couple of cinder blocks.
