Unpopular opinion: those barn door tracks in McMansions are actually fine
I was in a new build over in Henderson last month and everyone was rolling their eyes at the sliding barn doors. Maybe it's just me but they fit the space fine, the hardware was solid, and it freed up floor area that a swing door would've killed. Am I the only one who doesn't hate this trend?

That Henderson house you saw probably had decent hardware, but I helped my cousin pick out fixtures for her place in Summerlin last year and the tracks were already bowing after six months. The rollers caught every time someone closed the door, and you could hear it from the kitchen. Plus, the whole point of a barn door is supposed to be the rustic look, but when you slap it on a modern builder-grade hallway it just reads as fake. I get the floor space argument, sure, but a pocket door gives you the same benefit without the design clash.
