Finally cleared an install I’d been dreading for 6 months
Had this weird angled room in a house near downtown Austin that I kept putting off. Measured it wrong twice and the seams were going to look awful. Yesterday I got it done in 4 hours by using a double-cut seam method I picked up from a guy at the supply shop, and it came out cleaner than the straight runs I usually do. Has anyone else run into a room layout that just made you want to walk away?

Dude, that's amazing. Those weird angled rooms are the absolute worst aren't they?

That double cut seam trick is a lifesaver, I totally get why you put it off for so long. The worst room I ever did was this weird octagonal sunroom that had zero right angles. I ended up staring at the floor for like 20 minutes trying to figure out where to even start, then accidentally cut the first piece backwards and had to start over. Felt like a real flooring genius that day, let me tell you.
