Power stretcher vs knee kicker on a 14x18 Berber job in Reno, night and day
Had a 14x18 room in Reno last month, all Berber, and I figured I'd just knee kick it like I always do. Big mistake. That stuff would not lay flat near the walls, and I was fighting wrinkles for an hour. Pulled out the power stretcher the next day for the redo and it was a whole different job, tight as a drum in about 20 minutes. The stretch was even across the whole room instead of bunching up in one spot. I get that the kicker is faster to set up, but on Berber I'm never going back. Anyone else find that power stretcher is the only way to go on Berber, or am I just slow with the kicker?
