Swapped from hand power stretchers to a power one last month

Man, I used to spend 20 minutes stretching each room manually with a knee kicker. Picked up a used power stretcher from a guy in Austin for $150 and it cut my time in half on a 12x15 room. Anyone else make the switch and never look back?

Used to think power stretchers were overkill but yeah this changed my mind completely.

Hold up though, I rented one twice and still went back to the knee kicker for most jobs. Unless you're doing huge rooms with thick carpet, the power stretcher just adds more setup time than it saves. Curious if you tried one on a small bedroom yet or just the big open spaces.

Man, I gotta disagree hard here, @patricia_hill60. I used to think the same way until I did a 12x14 bedroom with thick berber last month and the knee kicker left these tiny waves I had to go back and fix. The power stretcher was worth the extra few minutes of setup because I didn't have to redo half the job. Small rooms with tight corners are rough, yeah, but the tension you get from a power bar is way more even than what you can do by hand.
