Was she using that cheap poly batting that shifts on you?

Did she buy it at that big box store 'cause I had the same issue with their poly batting last spring...

Batting isn't always the culprit though. Sometimes it's the tension in the fabric itself that pulls the seam off, especially with a print that has a strong vertical stripe like Mrs. Henderson's had. @abbyhall, you might be onto something with the poly batting, but honestly I've had that exact same corner issue with good quality cotton too. A bad layout can mess up any batting if you're not careful with your grain lines.
