That moment when a puppy claims your knee kicker as its own
I was on a job yesterday and the family's new puppy decided my knee kicker was the perfect thing to gnaw on. He dragged it across the room while I was measuring, and I had to chase him down. Everyone in the house was cracking up, and I ended up with slobber all over my tool. It was hilarious but slowed me down a bit!

My dog still thinks my tape measure is a chew toy, guess we're both in the same boat.

Yeah, pets have a real talent for finding the one thing you can't work without. My old dog used to run off with my chalk line every single time. Makes you wonder if they're all in on the same joke.

I was installing carpet in a split-level house last month, and the cat kept stealing my carpet tacks right out of the tray. It feels like there's a universal rule that on any job, the household pet will pick the one tool you absolutely need to mess with. They have a radar for it. It's never the scrap piece of padding, it's always the thing that'll bring the whole process to a stop. I guess it's their way of reminding us not to take the work too seriously, even when you're on a deadline.

Totally get that, I once dropped a whole box of screws because I was too busy trying to keep a cat from batting them under the fridge.
