The YouTube guy who said stretch 5% not 10%, he was right
Some installer named CarpetCarl from Ohio posted a video saying my 10% stretch on 12 foot rolls was causing seams to open up in summer heat. I tried his 5% method on a 2,000 square foot house in Phoenix last month and not one seam popped during the 110 degree week. Any other guys here stick to old habits because that's how you learned it, even when the math says otherwise?
