TIL the hard way about seam rollers on berber pile
Honestly, I blew a seam on a berber install in Louisville last week because I used a standard seam roller with too much pressure. The pile got crushed and the seam showed a shiny line right down the middle, the homeowner noticed it before I even finished. I ended up pulling the whole seam, re-taping it, and using a nap roller instead, which saved the look but cost me an extra two hours. Has anyone else had this issue with berber and found a better trick to avoid the crush marks?

Wow, I totally used to think any seam roller worked if you were careful, but man was I wrong on that one! Berber is like a whole different beast, the pressure just sinks right in and leaves that ugly shiny trail no matter how light you go.
