I finally compared sending invoices by email vs. using a payment link and the difference was huge

I used to just email PDFs like everyone else. Last month I tried one of those payment link things for my HVAC work on a $850 job. The guy paid in 2 hours. Normally I wait 3 weeks minimum. I got the idea from a plumber buddy who said his average payment time dropped from 28 days to 5 days after switching. Has anyone else seen that big of a gap with payment links?

Wait, @henryr45, are you sure it was 28 days to 5 days and not just a big improvement like from 3 weeks to under a week? I've seen a few people get similar results but usually it's more like from 25-30 days down to around 7-10 days with just adding a payment link, not quite 5 days. That's still a huge jump though and totally worth trying for any contractor!

That 28 days to 5 days is insane. Did your buddy do anything else different besides just the payment link, or was that the only change he made?
