I finally sent a demand letter with a real deadline, and the money hit my account in 6 days
After 71 days of silence on $1,850, I sent a certified letter on a Tuesday saying payment was due by Friday, and it was sitting in my account the following Monday, so has anyone else seen a hard deadline work when nothing else did?

Watched my brother do the same thing with a guy who owed him 900 bucks for a used truck bed. He'd been nice for months, kept saying no rush, and got nothing but excuses. The funny part is the guy texted him after like they were still buddies, asking if he wanted to grab lunch. Some people just need to see it on paper with a date before it feels real to them.
