My accountant said send invoices on Fridays, total disaster
My accountant Janet told me to send all my invoices out on Friday afternoons so they'd be top of mind over the weekend. Tried it for two months and my clients just ignored them until Monday or Tuesday, then I'd have to send reminders. Ended up with payments slipping 10 to 15 days later than usual. Has anyone else gotten advice from a well meaning pro that backfired on them?

I started sending mine Tuesday mornings around 9am and saw payments come in way faster, like 3 to 5 days sooner. Maybe try switching it up to a Tuesday or Wednesday midday slot instead of Friday.

Started sending mine on Wednesdays around 11am and honestly it's been a game changer too. The money usually hits by Friday or Saturday instead of dragging into the next week like when I used to send on Fridays. @tessalane is totally right that the day and time makes a big difference, I think the payment systems just process faster earlier in the week. Ngl, I also noticed that sending it midday avoids the morning rush and late afternoon slowdowns. Tbh, if you're stuck on Friday, just try a Tuesday or Wednesday and see if it speeds things up for you.

Twenty-six letters in the alphabet, but it feels like time of day is the real secret code for getting things done. I noticed this with my own bills and even doctors appointments, the early week just moves smoother. It is like the whole world is on a Monday morning coffee rush, then by Wednesday afternoon, the systems breathe a little. Friday is just a dead zone where everything gets stacked for Monday. I don't think it's just payment systems either, it's the same with customer service lines and shipping packages. Tuesday morning is the sweet spot for almost anything you need processed.
