Showerthought: My freelance logo design payment is MIA after a month

I made a logo for a small startup, and they said it was perfect for their launch. Now I'm checking my bank account daily and getting no replies to my invoices. Any tips for when a client just goes silent like this?

Ugh, yes. It really does make every future interaction feel weird and tense, even if the money itself isn't a big deal. It's just such a clear sign that respect isn't there. Burns is totally right, it's 100% a weird power move and it just sucks.
