Warning: that '30 day' clause means nothing if you don't send a reminder
Overheard a contractor at the supply house say he lost 12 grand because he waited the full 30 days after a job to send the invoice. I always send a 'friendly check-in' email at day 25 now, saved my bacon twice last quarter in Boise. Has anyone else tried that trick and seen pushback from folks who thought you were rushing them?

Fully 30 days feels like you're just handing them room to stiff you. The check-in email is smart but I'd bet on a shorter net, like 15 days, depending on the client. Nobody wants to feel hounded, but 12 grand on the line changes my tune real fast.
