Why does nobody talk about charging a deposit before you lift a finger
I used to send net 30 invoices and then beg for 60 days, but now I take 50% up front before I start any job. A guy in Denver owed me $1,200 for six weeks and dodged every call, so I stopped doing that. Now I ask for half before I touch the work, and funny how fast people pay when they have skin in the game. Does anyone else get pushback on deposits, or is that just me?
