50 covers on a Tuesday night and my expo line froze

Hit 50 covers solo on a slow Tuesday, then my ticket printer jammed right at 7:30. Not a huge number for some spots, but for my 12 seat counter it was chaos. How do you all handle ticket printer meltdowns mid-rush without losing your mind?

The ticket printer jamming at 7:30 sounds about right. It's like the universe waits for the worst possible second. I've noticed this pattern everywhere, not just in kitchens. My car's check engine light only comes on during rush hour traffic, and my phone dies exactly when I need GPS in an unfamiliar part of town. It's like breakdowns have a sixth sense for bad timing. Honestly, the only thing that works for me is to physically step back for ten seconds, take a breath, and then attack the problem like it's a puzzle instead of a disaster. Once you stop treating it as chaos, your brain can actually see the jam and fix it. You got through it, and that's what counts.
