Found a fully intact bird's nest with three eggs in a chimney in Albany last month.
The homeowner had no idea it was there and just wanted a routine cleaning before winter, so I had to very carefully remove the whole thing with a mirror and a small vacuum, but have any of you ever found live animals during a sweep?

Found a whole family of raccoons in an attic vent once, scared the life out of me. My ladder slipped and I nearly fell into a rose bush, classic move. The mom raccoon just stared at me like I was the one breaking and entering, lmao. Definitely made the job take three times longer than it should have.

Did you ever stop to think the eggs might still be viable? Like if you kept them warm somehow, could they have hatched? I know it sounds crazy but a friend of mine found robin eggs in a downspout once. She put them in a little box with a lamp and two of them actually hatched. She had to feed them mashed up worms for weeks. It was a whole thing. Not saying you should try it but it stuck with me.
