Hit my 100th squirrel nest removal today in Springfield
I was cleaning a chimney on Elm Street and found the biggest nest yet, full of acorns and a tiny toy car. The homeowner, Mrs. Jenkins, said the squirrels must have been planning a road trip. What's the weirdest thing you've ever pulled out of a flue?

Found a whole set of plastic silverware once, like a tiny picnic. Honestly, the weird stuff is usually the best part of the job. Makes a long day way more interesting.

Wow, a toy car is wild. I once pulled out a perfectly clean dog collar. No dog, just the collar.

But see, that's the thing, @emeryo58. A clean collar left behind makes total sense to me. Someone probably just took their dog for a swim, the collar came off in the water, and it got washed up. A toy car, all the way out there? That's the real mystery. It had to travel so far from any kid or road.

Nah, a toy car could've floated downstream after a kid left it in a puddle, way more likely than a collar popping off a swimming dog lol.
