Rant: The day I found a whole raccoon family in a flue in Decatur

The mother was not pleased, and it took three hours of careful coaxing with a snare pole to get them all out safely. Anyone have a better method for evicting wildlife without a full-on standoff?

Used to think a hose down the flue was the quick answer... until a soaked, furious possum taught me otherwise. Now I keep a cheap Bluetooth speaker up there, play loud talk radio for a few hours straight. The constant human voices spooks them out way better than a direct fight.

Man, I am the worst at this. Tried the radio trick once but accidentally left it on a smooth jazz station. Pretty sure the squirrels just got more comfortable.

My go-to is a cheap speaker playing talk radio for at least three hours straight.
