Showerthought: My trusty brush head snapped clean off inside a flue last Tuesday.
I was finishing a sweep on a 1920s brick chimney in Cincinnati and the threaded ferrule just gave out, leaving me to fish the bristles out with a magnet on a string for 45 minutes, so what's the most reliable brush connector you all use?

Oh man, the magnet on a string... been there. I swear by the solid brass screw-together ones now, after losing a brush in a farmhouse flue last fall.

That sounds like a rough way to learn that lesson. Those old magnet setups can definitely fail at the worst time. Solid brass is a smart upgrade for sure.

Ever try those quick-connect plastic ones? I used to think they were fine for light work, but after a similar mess (shout out to @finley_smith for making me feel less alone on that), I'm totally with the brass screw-together crowd now. The extra minute to thread it on feels worth it when you're not fishing for bristles later. That old magnet trick is a special kind of frustration, for sure.
