A guy in Phoenix told me last week he still mails a paper invoice and gets paid every time, while my online ones vanish
I switched to email invoices 4 years ago thinking I was being modern, but after he said that I looked back and realized 6 of my 8 ghostings happened right after I sent a digital bill, so now I'm wondering if there's actually something to a stamped envelope that sits on someone's desk until they deal with it, has anyone else noticed clients go quiet more on email vs paper?
Doubt it has anything to do with paper vs email. Six out of eight is a tiny sample, and you already admitted you went looking for a pattern after the guy planted the idea in your head. The real issue is probably who owes you and how much, not how the bill shows up. Deadbeats ghost paper invoices too, they just do it slower because the envelope sits there unopened.
