Booked a $650 deep clean in Naperville, showed up Monday and the lockbox code was dead
I had a first time client book a move out clean for a 3 bed in Naperville, $650 flat, and she confirmed the Thursday before. Monday at 9am I'm standing on the porch punching in the lockbox code and it won't open, so I call and text, nothing. I hung around 40 minutes because it was a 35 minute drive each way, then left and billed her a $75 trip fee per my contract. She finally replied 6 days later saying she "forgot" she moved the closing date and never thought to tell me, then asked if I'd honor the original price when she rebooks. Do you all charge the full job or just the trip fee when they come crawling back like this?

She confirmed Thursday and then just ghosted you Monday morning, that's on her and you already ate 70 minutes of driving for nothing. A $75 trip fee is honestly letting her off easy, so charging the full $650 or at least a big chunk of it is the fair move.
