Ghosted after 11 emails, then saw my design at their office party
Last month I finished a logo for a small bakery in Portland, sent the final files, and heard nothing for three weeks. Then a friend invited me to a wedding reception at a venue downtown, and there it was, my logo plastered on the napkins and the banner behind the cake table. The owner saw me staring and just waved, like we were old pals. I still have not gotten the $450 they owe me, but honestly the awkwardness of that moment was worth more than the check. Has anyone else run into a ghost client out in the wild and had to fake a smile?
