Just realized my old foreman was right about deposits, and I ate $900 finding out
Back in 2022 a foreman at the Omaha yard laughed at me for starting custom cabinet jobs with no money down and said half up front or walk away. I brushed him off, then a homeowner in Papillion stopped answering calls two weeks in with $900 of white oak already cut. So how do you handle the awkward part of asking for half up front without scaring off the good ones?
