Deposit before design work, learned that the hard way
Spent 3 weeks building a full brand package for a coffee shop in Portland, they ghosted me right after I sent the final files. No deposit, no contract signed, just a promise to pay 'next week' which turned into nothing. Do you all ask for 50% up front on every project now, or do some clients still get terms?
