Met a potential client at a greasy spoon off Route 21, seemed fine, even ordered the same pancakes as me. They promised a $2,000 logo job, real simple. Two days later I get a 700-word email about 'expanding the brand narrative' and suddenly it's a full website build. I asked for a new contract with a deposit, and they ghosted me harder than my high school prom date. Has anyone else had a client pull a total scope flip after a casual meetup?

Man, that's brutal. Reminds me of a buddy who got the same bait and switch after a handshake deal at a bar, client added three extra "quick" revisions and then stopped answering his calls for two weeks.
