Just realized if they argue against every sustainable choice, get paid upfront.

Fighting eco options means they'll fight the invoice too.

Yeah, "get paid upfront" is the only way to go with that type. Their resistance to the sustainable option is the first sign they'll nickel and dime every line item later. You just saved yourself a massive headache.

Tell me about it. Spotting that early saves so much trouble down the road. Good call trusting your gut on this one.

Heard a podcast last week where this business coach said always trust your gut with payments. Amy_adams10 hit the nail on the head about the nickel and diming starting right away. That coach said the same thing, that if they fight you on the first invoice, they'll fight you on every single one. It's crazy how common this is in freelance work. What other red flags should we be watching for?

Ever think they're just testing how much they can push you from the start? If they argue against the eco option, it might be a way to see if you'll bend on other things too, not just payments. That sets a bad pattern for the whole project where they expect free changes or extra work. Catching that lets you stand your ground early and avoid a ton of stress later on, lmao.
