Just realized the client who 'loves' your work never emails back

Had a client in Denver who raved about every draft for 3 months, but never confirmed a single invoice or signed the contract. Thought it was fine until their $1,800 payment hit 60 days late. Now I treat enthusiastic feedback as a red flag unless they actually pay on time. Anyone else get burned by a super nice client who just never followed through?

Ugh, that is brutal. The worst part is how long they string you along with all that praise, it makes you let your guard down and keep doing the work. I had a similar thing happen and it honestly made me question my gut feeling about people for a while after. That 60 day mark is way too late, I would have been losing my mind by then. Did you ever end up getting the full payment?
