The client who only paid after I switched to 15-minute check-ins

I had a client drag payments for 6 weeks, always saying they'd send the wire 'tomorrow', until I started scheduling quick 15-minute updates every Monday at the Cooper Mill co-working space... after the second check-in they paid in full, no excuses. The change was me putting a calendar block and a written recap right after, so there was no room for their vague timing games. Has anyone else found that smaller, more frequent touchpoints actually weed out the slow payers faster?

Heard this exact thing from my buddy who does freelance design. He started sending a 10 minute Friday recap text instead of waiting for the monthly invoice meeting, and one of his flakiest clients paid within two days. Something about the small, regular check-in made them finally respect his time.
