Warning: The guy who asked for a 'simple logo' and sent 47 revision notes
Got a new project last month for a brand identity. The initial call was fine, but after the first draft, the emails started. He sent a spreadsheet with 47 specific notes, each one more subjective than the last, like 'make the blue feel more trustworthy but also energetic.' After three rounds of this, he asked to go back to version one but with 'the spirit of version three.' Has anyone else had a client who uses a spreadsheet to micromanage a creative process?

Honestly, @lee582, I read that clients like this are just scared to make a real decision.

God yes, had a client send a 60-slide powerpoint once breaking down why our green was "not the green of growth." They wanted it to feel like a forest but also like money, and also calming. I spent a week just on color and they still hated it. Spreadsheet people are a special kind of hell lol.
