A friend pointed out my recycling was mostly wrong
I was putting all my plastic in the bin, but my friend Sarah said most of it wasn't actually recyclable in our city. She showed me the local guide, and now I only put in #1 and #2 bottles and jugs. It cut my recycling down by about half. Has anyone else had to relearn their local rules recently?

The rules are pretty clear if you look.

Yeah, the local guide thing is so real. I got yelled at by a neighbor for putting pizza boxes in the blue bin, which I thought was fine. Turns out the grease makes them trash here, even if they look clean. It feels like the rules change every few months.
