Community solar co-op in Toledo hit a snag with our utility paperwork
I've been part of a neighborhood solar co-op in Toledo since last spring, and we finally got our panels installed three weeks ago after months of back and forth. But now the utility is sitting on our interconnection approval, saying our paperwork has a 'formatting issue' even though we followed their guide to the letter. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of delay, and did you have to escalate to the state utility board to get things moving?

Has anyone noticed how utilities treat paperwork like it's some kind of silent power move? Like, they know you followed the guide, but "formatting issue" is their code for "we're holding you hostage until we feel like flipping the switch." We had the same thing happen with our garage solar setup, and it took three weeks of calling every day before a random supervisor admitted the real problem was just a backlog on their end. Sometimes you gotta poke the bear and file a complaint with the state board, not because you're mad, but just to show you're not gonna roll over. It's funny how fast things move once a government office sends them a polite little letter asking what's taking so long.
