My solar panel inverters failed 11 days after install in Tucson

Last month I got 6 panels put on my roof and the inverter threw an error code on day 11, right during a 108 degree heatwave. The installer said it was a known overheating issue but wouldn't cover the replacement since it was 'customer-induced' stress. Has anyone else dealt with gear dying that fast in desert climates and how did you push back on the warranty?

My buddy's inverter fried in Phoenix on day 9 and the company blamed the heat too, so he filed a BBB complaint and they caved.
