Our block got 9 solar panels up on one roof in March, and I keep staring at the app like a weirdo
My neighbor Dana knocked on doors back in January with a flyer about a group solar deal, and honestly I said yes just to get her off my porch. Nine houses on Oak Street ended up signing, and the crews finished the last roof three weeks ago. My electric bill went from $142 in February to $31 in April, which still feels fake when I look at it. We did this through a co-op buy in Dayton that knocked about $2,400 off each install. Anyone else done a block or group buy, and did your quoted savings actually hold up after a full summer of AC?

How did the math work out on those bigger AC months though, like July and August specifically? The February to April jump is real but that's when nobody's running the AC, so the $111 drop doesn't tell you much about peak season. Did the co-op give you an estimate of what your summer bills would look like, and if so, how close did it end up being to what you actually paid?
