Shoutout to the solar guy who proved me wrong about home panels
Honestly, I thought solar panels were just a rich person's flex for the longest time. My neighbor Dave got a 5.5 kW system installed last year in Austin, and I was ready to roast him for wasting money. Then he showed me his electric bill dropped from $180 a month to $12 in the summer, and now I'm legit saving up for my own setup. Anyone else have a moment where you had to eat your words about climate tech?

Totally feel you on that one. Bought into the whole 'solar pays for itself' hype and now I'm just watching my electric bill go up while my panels sit there. Got a quote for a 10kW system that was supposed to save me $200 a month. Now I'm paying almost the same amount in loan payments and barely seeing any credit from the utility company. Solidarity from someone else who learned the hard way.
