Solar panel cleaning schedule might be backwards for most of us
I kept seeing everyone in my neighborhood in Austin scrubbing panels every month, but the guy who installed mine said rain handles it here unless we get a bad dust storm. He showed me the output logs, panels dropped maybe 4 percent after 8 months without a wipe. I think we're wasting water and time on panels that sit at a decent tilt. Has anyone actually tracked their generation before and after a deep clean, or are we just following what the cleaning companies tell us?

Tilt matters more than people think. Panels laid flat catch dust and bird droppings way worse than anything with a decent angle. Rain does most of the work here, but that only holds if your setup isn't practically horizontal.
