Thought composting was a waste of time until my neighbor in Boise showed me his setup
I used to think backyard composting was one of those things people do to feel good without actually helping anything. Then my neighbor Dale in Boise showed me his bin last month and he pulls about 40 pounds of food scraps out of his trash every month. He mixes it with leaves and it goes right back into his garden beds, no bags, no truck, no landfill. Has anyone else actually measured how much waste this cuts, or is it just me who was sleeping on it?

Wait, Dale is out here composting 40 pounds a month while the rest of us are just... putting banana peels in the trash like suckers? Guess I need to find myself a Boise neighbor.
