I had to decide on using off-spec stock for a job

We were rushing a batch for a customer, and the metal stock was not quite right. My supervisor told me to run it anyway to meet the deadline. I thought about how it might cause problems down the line. So I flagged it to the quality team, and they stopped the run. It hurt our schedule, but it felt like the honest thing to do.
