Just realized I was overthinking tool offsets for a year

I spent a year manually tweaking my tool length offsets on every job because I thought the automatic probe was garbage. Finally swapped out the probe battery last week and now it's dead on every time. Anybody else fight with their probe for months before realizing it was a simple fix?

Hmm, I don't know... my probe has been fine from day one honestly.

That's fair, some people just get lucky with the hardware. Might be more about individual unit quality than a universal issue.

Depends on what you mean by "fine" honestly. Idk, I've seen enough people dealing with issues that it makes me wonder if some folks just don't notice problems or maybe they don't push their hardware as hard. Could be a luck of the draw thing, or maybe the threshold for what's acceptable just varies from person to person.
