My first boss would hate how we run jobs now.
Honestly, he insisted on checking tool paths by hand. Tbh, now we just trust the simulation and hope for the best. Ngl, is that progress or are we losing skills?

I used to worry about losing those hands-on checks too. What worked for me was using simulation for most jobs but still doing a quick manual review on complex parts. That way, you keep the skill alive without slowing down progress.

Keeping the skill alive, huh. My manual checks usually end with me causing new problems to solve. Not sure that counts as progress.
