Coding with my team weekly turned out way better than solo practice
I thought going solo on code projects was the only real way to learn. Then a coworker got me into our group sessions and fixing bugs together made it way easier. How do you guys handle learning from people at work?

My last team held bug bashes every Friday afternoon. What part of your group sessions made the biggest difference for you?

You mention bug bashes every Friday! That seems like a huge time commitment for bug hunting. But how serious are these issues really? I've watched teams get stuck on minor flaws and lose sight of actual progress. It starts to feel like a routine checklist instead of meaningful work. Maybe I'm just doubtful, but all that effort might not fix the big problems anyway!

Bug bashes on Fridays, that takes me back. I used to think my code was so clean until I saw how many dumb mistakes I made when someone else looked at it. The biggest change for me was just hearing how other people talk through problems out loud. It's like my brain got stuck in one way of thinking and their questions shook it loose. Now I realize half my solo breakthroughs were just me missing something obvious.
