Debate: Should beginners start with Python or JavaScript first?

I visited a local coding meetup last night and heard two instructors argue about this. The Python guy said it teaches logic cleaner, but the JavaScript fan insisted that what you build is more visible (which helps stay motivated, you know?). Which side do you think is better for a total newbie?

Yeah totally agree, Python made everything click for me way faster than JavaScript ever did.

The Python guy is totally right, I learned logic way better starting with Python before touching JavaScript.
