Hit 1000 lines of code today and it actually clicked

I was stuck on this little calculator project for like 3 weeks. Kept getting errors and almost gave up. Today I hit commit number 15 and realized I had written over 1000 lines of code for something that started as a 20 line tutorial. That number surprised me because I never thought I'd write that much on my own. Has anyone else had a moment where the line count made you feel like you actually learned something?

Oh man, 1000 lines is huge... I remember when I finally cracked 500 on a little recipe app I was building just for fun. It was this super simple thing but I kept adding features like saving favorites and a search bar and before I knew it I was over 600 lines. That moment when you look back and realize you actually built something from scratch, even if it's janky, feels way better than finishing a tutorial. Your brain just starts connecting dots you didn't even know were there, you know?

1000 lines of working code is when muscle memory finally kicks in.

1000 lines though? That's wild to me. I've never kept count of how many lines a project of mine has. I just know it works or it doesn't.
