I watched a kid at the library in Boise build a whole game in Scratch in under an hour.
It made me stop overthinking my own projects and just start making things. How do you push past the planning stage and actually code?

Push past the planning stage" is the key. Heard a quote once: "Done is better than perfect." Just start typing.

Yeah my buddy spent months outlining his novel, @skyler217, then just wrote the first page one night and finished it.

Totally! I once spent weeks planning a site then built it in a weekend.

Wow, that quote really hits home for me. I spent months sketching out a garden design once, measuring sun angles and drawing diagrams, then just went outside one Saturday and dug it all in by hand. That weekend of actual work taught me more than all the planning combined. Sometimes you just have to trust your gut and start putting things together. The best projects I've done came from ideas I refined as I went, not from a perfect blueprint.
