My first program went from 200 lines of spaghetti to 50 clean lines after I finally understood functions.

I spent three months writing everything in one giant block until a freeCodeCamp video on scope and parameters made it click, so has anyone else had that one concept that suddenly untangled their code?

Totally feel that, functions changed everything for me too!

Oh wow, a whole 150 lines saved? Let's be real, most of my early code was just the same five lines copied and pasted with different variable names. Functions are neat but it's not like you discovered fire. Next you'll tell me using a loop was a life changing event.

Yeah but like, it's just code getting shorter, not exactly a big deal lol
